Invasive/Eradication Information

ERADICATION:  These plants are known to be highly invasive, out competing native species and leading to a monoculture. They can destroy the habitat necessary for a healthy ecosystem. If they are found, the location should be noted and all individuals should be destroyed. The site should then be monitored in the future for new infestations.

WI-DNR ECOLOGICALLY INVASIVE- non-native plants, animals and pathogens whose introduction causes or is likely to cause economic, or environmental harm or harm to human health.
WI-DNR WI-DNR PROHIBITED INVASIVE- with certain exceptions, the transport, possession, transfer and introduction is illegal.
 WI-DNR RESTRICTED INVASIVE -
with certain exceptions, the transport, transfer and introduction is illegal but possession is legal.
