Invasive/Eradication Information
ERADICATION:
These plants are known to be highly invasive, out
competing native species and leading to a monoculture. They can destroy the
habitat necessary for a healthy ecosystem. If they are found, the location
should be noted and all individuals should be destroyed. The site should then be
monitored in the future for new infestations.
WI-DNR ECOLOGICALLY INVASIVE- non-native
plants, animals and pathogens whose introduction causes or is likely to cause
economic, or environmental harm or harm to human health.
WI-DNR WI-DNR PROHIBITED INVASIVE-
with certain
exceptions, the transport, possession, transfer and introduction is illegal.
WI-DNR RESTRICTED INVASIVE -
with certain exceptions, the transport, transfer and introduction is illegal but
possession is legal.
