Habitat: Northern mesic hardwood forest. Rich soil. Canopy made up of Acer rubrum, Acer saccharum, Prunus serotina, Fraxinus americana, Ulmus americana, Populus tremuloides, Betula allegheniensis, Ostrya virginiana, and Tilia americana. There is some major storm damage in this area because we had about 8 inches of heavy snow late last week.
