Habitat: Mesic hardwood forest. Fascinating little ecosystem. Canopy made up of large (~24" DBH Tilia americana and Acer saccharum. Groundcover consists of Dicentra cucullaria, Mitella diphylla, Anemone quinquefolia, Trillium grandiflorum, Claytonia virginica, Claytonia caroliniana, and Hydrophyllum virginianum.
