| Habitat: | Edge of floodplain. Mostly on south side of road. Moist sandy soil, in nearly full sun. Site may be seasonally inundated in spring. With Alnus rugosa, Spiraea abla, Rubus strigosus, Onoclea sensibilis, Carex stricta, and Athyrium filix-femina (on the wetland side) and Poa pratensis, Elytrigea repens, and Centaurea maculosa (at bottom of roadbank).
