Plant: erect, perennial, 2"-14" tall shrub forming large colonies
Flower: white, 5-parted, 3/8" long, urn-shaped, lobes shorter than the tube; blooms May-June
Fruit:blue, shiny berry with many seeds
Leaf:deciduous, smooth, narrowly elliptical with tiny, sharp teeth
Habitat: moist to dry; woods, forests, bogs, clearings; in rocky, sandy soil
