Plant: erect, perennial, 3'-7' tall forb; grooved stems with 6-8 angles
Flower: head white to cream, cylindrical; inflorescence a flat-topped umbel; blooms July-Sept.
Leaf:thin, pointed teeth, green on both sides, lower leaves kidney-shaped, upper fan-shaped; veins palmately-arranged on the larger leaves
Habitat: moderate moisture to wet; woods, clearings
