Status: Introduced - locally established; ecologically invasive
Plant: erect, annual, 2'-6' tall forb; stems ridged, branched; taprooted
Flower: white, 5-parted; inflorescence a small, loose, compound umbel
Fruit:dry with tiny upcurved, sticking hairs, splitting into 2 seeds- fruit:fruit drawing seed:
Leaf:alternate, pinnately-divided, 2"-5" long, sometimes slightly downy
Habitat: dry to dry-medium; disturbed upland, roadsides, woods, railroads
Notes: to control, pull or mow before flowering, treat foliage with glyphosate or triclopyr in early spring and when re-sprouting after cutting; monitor the site.
