Status: Introduced - naturalized
Plant: erect, perennial, to 4' tall, stout forb; usually 1 un-branched stem to the flower clusters; taproot that sometimes branches
Flower: yellow, 6-parted, stalk jointed below the middle; inflorescence loose, branched clusters with leaves at the base of the lower flower whorls
Leaf:lower with heart-shaped base, oblong to oval to 6" wide; upper much smaller
Habitat: moist; disturbed areas
