Status: Introduced - naturalized; potentially invasive
Plant: twining annual, up to 40" long forb, stems and flower stalks often with rough lines; stems nodes smooth, lacking bristles
Flower: white inside to green outside and tinged with pink at the base, 5-parted, less than 1/8" long, petals and petal-like sepals; inflorescence 3/4"-2 1/2" interrupted clusters of 3-6 stalked flowers
Fruit:black, dull, dry seed
Leaf:alternate, triangular with a heart-shaped base
Habitat: disturbed sites, roadsides, railroads
Notes: similar to P. cilinode with shiny fruit
