Status: Native
Plant: erect, annual/biennial, 12"-32" tall forb, often branched near the top
Flower: blue, 4-parted, 1 1/2"-2" wide, funnel-shaped, long stalked, petals toothed at the ends and fringed at the sides, with no folds between; solitary on long stalks; blooms Aug.-Oct.
Leaf:upper leaves long and narrow, less than 1/3" wide
Habitat: moist; meadows, shores; in limy, rocky soil
