Status: Introduced - escaped
Plant: erect, perennial, 8"-28" tall, hairy forb
Flower: head 1 1/2"- 3" wide with 6-16 yellow, 1"- 1 1/3" long, 3-notched rays often with purplish/orange base; 1/2"-1" wide, purplish/orange disk; inflorescence usually 1 to a few heads on long stalks; blooms May-Sept.
Fruit:dry seed without a fluffy pappus
Leaf:alternate, mostly narrow
Habitat: sun; meadows, fields
