Status: Native
Plant: erect, perennial, 3"-20" tall forb
Flower: white to pink, 5-parted, 1 1/2"-2 3/4" long, funnel-shaped, petals shallowly-lobed, bracts large and just below the mostly equal sepals; drawing usually solitary in each leaf axil; blooms June-July
Leaf:oblong, stalk less than half as long as the leaf midvein leaf drawing
Habitat: dry; forests, woods, fields; in rocky, sandy soil
