Status: Introduced - naturalized; ecologically invasive
Plant: perennial tree usually 40'-70' tall and 1'-2' in diameter; often with a spreading top; milky juice
Flower: on a smooth stalk in an erect, stalked, rounded cluster (corymbs)
Leaf:opposite, undivided, 5-7 lobes with sharply-pointed tips and a few large teeth; indentations (sinuses) between main lobes rounded
Notes: very similar to Acer saccharum (hard maple) but with more teeth on the leaves and milky juice
