Verbenaceae: Vervain

Opposite, paired, simple, toothed leaves. Stems square. Flowers small on slender spikes or small clusters either at the top or from the leaf axils. Flowers with a tubular corolla of 5 petals often with 2 slightly different than other 3 and a single style.
