Scrophulariaceae: Snapdragon

Flowers of 4-5 parts with swollen corolla tubes which flare into 2 lobes above and 3 below. Stamens mostly 1 or in pairs and attached to the corolla tube, 1 style. Leaves can be opposite or alternate. Easily confused with Labiatae (mints) which have square stems.
