Primulaceae: Primrose

Leaves undivided and simple; opposite, whorled or basal. 1 stamen opposite each petal (Trientalis stamen is from center of petal). All flowers with forward facing petals except Shooting Star (Dodecatheon) whose petals flare upwards and the stamens unite to form a beak. One style and 1 stigma.
