Lythraceae: Loosestrifes

Stamens in 2 sets (1 long, 1 short) twice the number of the petals. Flowers coming from leaf axils or in terminal clusters with 4-7 petals. Calyx tubular and 4 or 6 toothed. Leaves simple, entire, mostly opposite, and untoothed.
