Plant: erect, perennial, 8"-20" tall shrub forming large colonies
Flower: white, 5-parted, urn-shaped; inflorescence with drooping flowers in a cluster from the leaf axils; blooms May-July
Fruit:shiny blue, 1/4" berry with many seeds
Leaf:deciduous, soft, thin, narrowly elliptical to lance-like, hairy below, edges not toothed
Habitat: moist to dry; bogs
