Status: Native
Plant: erect, annual, 3"-60" tall forb, mostly unbranched to the inflorescence; stems often slightly hairy
Flower: head 3/16" wide with 25-40 white to pinkish disk flowers; inflorescence of many small heads in a long, large open cluster; blooms July-Oct.
Fruit:dry seed on fluffy pappus
Leaf:many alternate, slightly hairy, linear leaves, the lower leaves usually toothed, getting progressively smaller toward the top
Habitat: disturbed sites
