| Leaf: | alternate, upper leaves white-hairy with an upturned tip, basal leaves becoming hairless, only the mid-vein distinct, main leaves less than 1/2" wide |
| Habitat: | dry to moderate moisture; fields, woods, prairies, lawns; in sandy soil |
| Notes: | very similar to A. howelii |
