Wisconsin State Herbarium have announced a new initiative.
Wisconsin Invasive Plants
Reporting and Prevention Project
Prevent the spread of plants
known to be newly invasive in Wisconsin or in nearby states.
Identify these population and
control or destroy them before they can spread.
We
hope the information presented here will assist in this effort.

You Can Help
If you suspect that you have found one of these plants;
1. Collect a good specimen (fresh or pressed) and/or take
photos, and report its location as precisely as you can.

Send your information to the Wisconsin State Herbarium, WIS-DNR, Freckmann
Herbarium, or any other qualified institution.

If you are certain of the identification, make your report then destroy the population or at least prevent plants from producing fruits or seeds. As with most invasives, the residue seeds from years before will probably remain so the site will need to be checked in subsequent years. Contact a local land manager or the project coordinator if you need assistance to control the population,. Be sure you report your findings and actions so a record can be keep track of all these invasives.
